Annual Serve United Event Brings Together Volunteers to Assist Local Nonprofits

In a remarkable display of community spirit, more than 250 volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work during this year’s Serve United event. Over the course of two impactful days, volunteers served on 17 unique projects across Smith County—transforming nonprofit facilities, beautifying public spaces, and lending a helping hand where it was needed most.
Whether painting and landscaping or cleaning and organizing, every task was tackled with enthusiasm and heart. These projects weren’t just about getting the job done—they were about building up the organizations and spaces that provide vital services to our neighbors day in and day out.
Serve United is more than a volunteer event—it’s a movement that proves what’s possible when we come together with a shared purpose. The dedication and compassion shown by each volunteer left a lasting impression, not only on the physical spaces they improved but on the people they served alongside.
To everyone who showed up, got involved, and made a difference: thank you. Your time and effort created ripples of change that will be felt far beyond these two days. We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together next year.
