Early Education is the Foundation For all
We are establishing a solid foundation for the future success of children. Research indicates that the teacher’s education and specialization level is daycares’ most significant structural component. Champions provides intensive in-person professional Preservice training. During these 24 hours, the clients learn over 100 state laws, ways to address challenging behaviors, classroom management, lesson plans, activities for proper development, differentiated learning models, and many more skills essential to a thriving learning environment for children from birth to five years. Since 90% of the brain develops by age four, quality early education is the foundation for all future learning and long-term success.
Autism Education and Resources
Formerly East Texas Autism Network, this resource is for parents and caregivers concerned for their child regarding Autism Spectrum Disorder. Champions coordinates the diagnosis process and helps establish a network of resources to help children reach their highest potential. This involves multiple doctors and care professionals, including therapy centers, intervention services, respite care, social services, school administrators, and medical staff. Families move ahead, focusing on their child’s positive qualities and gifts while hope and empowerment grow for the child and their caregivers in the long term. For children already diagnosed with ASD, Champions supplies resources and tools to assist parents with daily and future needs.
Road to Mental Wellness and Success
Research shows that children with social or emotional issues in Kindergarten are 80% more likely to require special education and seven times more likely to be suspended or expelled by 4th grade. Over half of adult mental illnesses show signs in childhood. Ignoring undesirable behaviors of young children can create long-term adverse effects. This program for children three to nineteen provides early identification of child behavioral concerns. Then, a licensed therapist will help resolve issues before they escalate to major disasters such as harm to self or others. Champions’ LPC offers play therapy, social groups, and individual sessions. Counseling helps children and parents with depression, divorce or separation issues, focus in school, test anxiety, low self-esteem, mental illness, communication, and more.
