28 and Counting!

The United Way of Smith County hosted the 28th-annual Day of Caring on Friday, June 10th. More than 20 local companies provided volunteers to tackle numerous projects for local nonprofits. Projects included painting, landscaping, food prep and many others. The Day of Caring provides volunteers the opportunity to make a difference by rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty. More importantly, it saves local nonprofits the time, resources and finances necessary to address facility issues and upkeep. This allows them to focus more on their mission and programs designed to help those in need in our community.
